Wishing you a happy and prosperous year of the Ox 2021. It is the Chinese New Year Eve, a time for a family reunion. To everyone celebrating and welcoming the Chinese Year of the Ox – Gong xi fa cai. Chinese New Year takes place on Friday 12 of February and lasting until the 31st of January, 2022. It will be a Metal Ox year., its precise date varying annually in accordance with the country’s lunar calendar. This Year is the Year of the Ox. Year of the Metal Ox, which symbolises diligence, honesty, reliability, stability, perseverance, power, stubbornness and excellence. Lanterns have traditionally been lit for hundreds of years to mark the Spring Festival, which celebrates the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The recent zodiac years of Ox sign are: 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021, 2033…An Ox year occurs every 12 years.
The Chinese New Year Spring Festival is the most important holiday in China, and hundreds of millions of people travel to celebrate it with their families, making it the world’s largest annual human migration.

The biggest Chinese New Year Celebration event is scheduled at 14th of February organised by the Chung Wah Association.
The Perth Chinese New Year Fair 2021 will be held on Sunday 14 February from 12 noon to 9 pm in Northbridge. This will be the 10th Fair since its inauguration in 2012.
A celebratory street carnival to welcome the lunar new year, Year of the OX. It will be a free community event open to the public to share the joy of the Chinese New Year while experiencing Chinese culture and customs, the event also embraces the cultural diversity of the Western Australia community as a whole.
The event will kick off with the lighting of firecrackers and Chung Wah Lion and Dragon Dance Troupe performing at WA Boola Bardip Museum and Perth Cultural Centre. The fair features significant Chinese Cultures through food and beverage, performing arts, sports, activities, games and community information sharing.
