Selendang Sutra is a local Indonesian dance troupe that present an exotic selection of cultural dances and traditional music. Led by Astit Olszowy, her troupe perform beautiful traditional dances from the many islands of Indonesia to deliver a delightful Indonesian cultural experience.

reflect the rich cultural diversity of Indonesia. The origins of some dances can be traced back centuries. Selendang Sutra is one of Western Australia’s premier exponents of Indonesian dance. The troupe is also noted for colourful and elaborate costuming, and a large variety of dance styles from many regions of Indonesia. You can rely on us for punctuality and professionalism.

The name “Selendang Sutra” or Silk Veil has been chosen as the name of the Dance Troupe as it has the nice character of the silk: fine but strong.
