Diwali Mela 2020 Festival of India Celebration
You need to get the tickets due to Covid-19 restrictions. Diwali or Deepavali, means ‘row of lights’ in India’s most ancient language, Sanskrit. This festival marks the start of the Hindu calendar year and is celebrated with lights (diyas) and fireworks.
As many Western Australians look forward to reuniting with family and friends this Diwali and in the near future, we must ensure we protect ourselves and others.
There will be many events and gatherings taking place in the lead up to Diwali next week. Diwali Mela 2020 on Saturday & Sunday 7 & 8 November 2020 from 11 am to 9:30 pm at Claremont Showground.
Diwali Mela 2020 will fully comply with COVID-19 requirements so that we can all celebrate Diwali confidently and safely. Download the COVIDSafe app in your phone that helps identify people exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19). This helps us support and protect you, your friends and family.
Diwali Mela will have a number of food stalls serving authentic Indian snacks and a wide variety of dishes. The non-food stalls consist of traditional Indian dresses, Henna, Banking and Mortgage services, Spiritual stalls and display of a number of Indian small entrepreneurs.
The cultural programs include Talent Hunt, live bands, songs, dances and performances for all ages. Stage performances include Indian and multicultural artists.
Claremont Showground is right next to Claremont Train Station. Trains will stop at Claremont Showground Station for this event.

ISWA in association with Thejo Australia brings the Story of Krishna to Perth in Diwali Mela 2020. #diwalimela is on Sat & Sun 7 & 8 November 3pm to 9.30pm at Claremont Showground.
Experience Krishna in Diwali Mela, from the makers of Ramayana of last year’s Diwali.
Draupadi was one of the strongest women in the Indian Epics, whose humiliation by Kauravas eventually led to the Kurukshetra war. Draupadi was a strong devotee of Krishna and they shared a deep friendship.
ISWA in association with Thejo Australia brings the Story of Krishna to Perth in Diwali Mela 2020.
