Author of a study from Italy says that 4 cases from the study dated back the first week in October 2019, that means they have been infected since September 2019. The study is based on the methodology on the sensitivity and specificity of the test for the search for specific antibodies against the virus responsible for this COVID 19 pandemic. We found positive cases in the months preceding the reporting of the Chinese cases in December 2019, before the first Italian official case of Covid-19 from 21st of February 2020.
From the tests, we found cases from December, November, October and September of 2019. We have not found direct traces of the Virus, but indirect in Italian citizens who passed preventive lung cancer tests. Tested were Males & females between 55- 65 years of age and were heavy smokers and former smokers.

Therefore, the specificity of the assays used in the present study strongly supports our seroprevalence findings in a relevant number of asymptomatic individuals well before the overt pandemic period, with positive patients in September–October 2019.
Our results indicate that SARS-CoV-2 circulated in Italy earlier than the first official COVID-19 cases were diagnosed in Lombardy, even long before the first official reports from the Chinese authorities, casting new light on the onset and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All eligible participants provided written informed consent.
There are no robust data on the real onset of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection and spread in the pre-pandemic period worldwide. We investigated the presence of SARS-CoV-2 receptor-binding domain (RBD)–specific antibodies in blood samples of 959 asymptomatic individuals enrolled in a prospective lung cancer screening trial between September 2019 and March 2020 to track the date of onset, frequency, and temporal and geographic variations across the Italian regions. SARS-CoV-2 RBD-specific antibodies were detected in 111 of 959 (11.6%) individuals, starting from September 2019 (14%), with a cluster of positive cases (>30%) in the second week of February 2020 and the highest number (53.2%) in Lombardy. This study shows an unexpected very early circulation of SARS-CoV-2 among asymptomatic individuals in Italy several months before the first patient was identified, and clarifies the onset and spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Finding SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in asymptomatic people before the COVID-19 outbreak in Italy may reshape the history of a pandemic.

According to data collected from the website of the Italian Ministry of Health, Lombardy was the region most affected by the pandemic, with 5791/10,141 (57.1%) patients with COVID-19, and showed the highest number of recruited patients at 491/959 (51.2%). Considering the 111 positive cases, 59 (53.2%) were in residents of Lombardy, followed by Piedmont and Lazio (10 cases each, 9%); Emilia Romagna (7 cases, 6.3%); Tuscany and Veneto (6 cases each, 5.4%); Liguria (4 cases, 3.6%); Campania, Friuli, and Puglia (2 cases each, 1.8%); and Sicily, Valle d’ Aosta, and Sardinia (1 case each, 0.9%).

Was Italy the first country of Covid-19 silent pandemic outbreak?

Based on my research trying to trace the virus since the first information about Covid-19 existence I highly doubt the Coronavirus – COVID19 originated from Italy dated by results in September 2019 or January 2020 in Wuhan. There were reported cases of miraculous deaths in the USA from vaping that have never been re-investigated. The CT Scans of the Lungs comparing with the CT Scans of Covid 19 were exactly the same. So far the Health Department of the USA has not done any investigation of the vaping cases. It was the USA that demanded since the beginning to investigate the source of the Virus. Filing Trillion $ lawsuits against China and continuos insulting of China from the USA government and demanding compensation to the USA for Virus. The Australian government in April 2020 demanded an independent investigation of China and their Laboratories.

I said in March 24th on my Social network account that based on mortality rate in Italy the Covid19 Coronavirus must be in Italy since October 2019 otherwise it is not possible to have huge mortality in such a short period.

Coronavirus Covid-19 Virus origin where it started?
From all sources and scientific studies of blood samples, we know that it has not started in Wuhan China and that virus has been there imported by a tourist. Will anyone be able to trace the origin of the Covid-19 Coronavirus virus?

Most likely not, it is very hard and expensive to detect any new virus or mutated known virus and if someone will find how to do it with 100% precision then they will be awarded the Nobel prize
You can only assume the country based on the range of outbreak, backtest trying to trace the origin from samples. It is impossible as it requires expensive testing in every country of the world for any suspicious unknown disease.

My Theory of the origin of the Covid-19

MERS – CORONAVIRUS it is very similar to Covid-19 and it can be a mutation of the known virus MERS – Coronavirus reported by WHO in 2008.

Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) is a virus transferred to humans from infected dromedary camels. It is a zoonotic virus, meaning it is transmitted between animals and people, and it is contractable through direct or indirect contact with infected animals. MERS-CoV has been identified in dromedaries in several countries in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia. In total, 27 countries have reported cases since 2012, leading to 858 known deaths due to the infection and related complications.
It was first reported in Saudi Arabia in 2012 and has since spread to several other countries, including the United States. Most people infected with MERS-CoV developed severe respiratory illness, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Many of them have died.

The origins of the virus are not fully understood but according to the analysis of different virus genomes, it is believed that it may have originated in bats and later transmitted to camels at some point in the distant past.

Human-to-human transmission is possible, but only a few such transmissions have been found among family members living in the same household. In health care settings, however, human-to-human transmission appears to be more frequent.

My theory, in short, COVID-19 originated from well known MERS-CoV and it’s mutation. With Checking the MERS-outbreak news and dates it will most likely fill the puzzle of the origin of Covid-19 virus.

Can virus mutate?
Of course, it can and any Virus can mutate, no one can predict a virus mutation form and time, the same as no one can predict any future origin of any pandemic outbreak.
Viruses have been here since the beginning, invisible, powerful and harmful. You cannot blame any country for the virus outbreak you can blame planet earth that is full of viruses and maybe viruses that so far have not been discovered.
Important is prevention, high tech health systems and early diagnoses of any virus to prevent pandemic outbreaks. It is simply impossible to prevent any future pandemic outbreak. You cannot control an unknown virus…..
